1947 marks the beginning of a nation.
For this piece, Roya draws inspiration from Pakistan’s early postal history — bringing an iconic piece of the country’s visual heritage into contemporary streetwear.
The back graphic references the historic postage artwork created by Pakistani artist A.R. Chughtai, carrying the spirit of “Pakistan Zindabad” — a message of pride and optimism from the earliest days of the nation.
We reinterpreted that piece of history through an oversized silhouette, heavyweight construction, and distinctly Roya details.
Two years ago, the original edition of 1947 sold out within a month. After years of requests to bring it back, 1947 returns as a limited edition of just 200 individually numbered pieces.
This isn't a souvenir. It's a piece of history, reinterpreted to be worn.
