THE STORY

Before it was a tee, it was a piece of history

In 1947, Pakistan emerged as a new nation.

Among the earliest symbols to carry its identity beyond its borders was its postage — small, official, and printed to travel.

That history became the inspiration behind 1947 — Roya's interpretation of an iconic piece of Pakistan's early postal story.

Not a souvenir. A statement.

A note on the history: the stamps issued in 1947 were existing British Indian stamps overprinted with "PAKISTAN". The first stamps designed for Pakistan followed in 1948. 1947 is a contemporary interpretation inspired by that period — not a reproduction.
